Pastor Ryan Tirona

I was raised in a household where God was a far off being rarely spoken about. Church was not part of my life, but my mother recalls me as always being curious about the things of God. Despite this curiosity I did not hear the gospel until I was a Senior in High School in 1998. I had been to church a handful of times prior to that experience, but I can not recall hearing the gospel of Jesus clearly proclaimed during those services. I visited a youth group and the pastor shared the gospel of Jesus Christ in his sermon. He preached about about my sin [which I knew well] and the gift of salvation that Christ paid for by ransoming His life on the cross for me. God lifted the veil and I knew that Jesus was the way, the truth, and life. I understood that I was a sinner. I knew that I couldn’t save myself and earn heaven, and that Jesus was the only way to God. I confessed Jesus as my Lord, repented of sin, and embraced the gospel. I was saved by grace through faith, and I continue to live each day by that grace and through that faith.
